Internship Program

The Internship Program at T. T. Narasimhan School of Advanced Studies at IPH Bengaluru, offers students and early-career professionals an opportunity to engage closely with public health practice. Through involvement in ongoing research, field implementation, and program work, interns gain exposure to real-world health systems while being guided by experienced mentors and supervisors.



Learning Experience

Interns will have the opportunity to:

  • Engage in ongoing projects across research and program areas
  • Contribute to fieldwork, documentation, and analysis
  • Build practical skills in real-world public health settings
  • Learn through structured mentorship and supervision
  • Participate in seminars, discussions, and institutional activities

Eligibility

  • Students currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Public Health or related fields
  • Recent graduates (within 6 months of completion)
  • Individuals from other relevant disciplines interested in public health
  • Early-career professionals or those looking to enter/re-enter the public health field


Duration of Internship

Minimum duration: 2 months

Longer durations (including 6 months) may be considered based on project needs and mutual agreement


Role of an Intern

  • Interns work closely with their assigned supervisor and mentor and are expected to:
  • Support ongoing research and program activities
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and documentation
  • Participate in meetings, seminars, and workshops
  • Contribute to reports, presentations, or other outputs
  • Complete assigned learning modules and submit a final internship report


IPH Bengaluru is a not-for-profit organisation. Interns receive a modest stipend to support basic expenses during the internship.

Please Note: Fully virtual internships are generally discouraged, and if approved, are not eligible for a stipend or other benefits.
